The flowing circuit of Laguna Seca was the scene for the next round in the Formula Lithium series.
With a strong qualifying session the Vermin Cars lined up with Oscar on pole with Jack and Maxi behind in 3rd and 4th and the Triple Eight of Tim in 6th.
Race 1
Bogging down on his start and touching the pit wall, Oscar lost out to his rival from last season, Nieminen, who had split the Vermin's from a front row lock out. As soon as Nieminen was in the lead, despite Oscar hounding him until a spin released the pressure and Nieminen was able to take a relaxed victory. Jack's race was nearly ruined by back markers who caused a collision early on in the race and a close battle for 3rd with Maxi all the way to the line provided some entertainment. Tim, Alex and Dave would all finish well in race 1 with Tim and Alex crossing the line in 6th and 7th and Dave juse outside the top 10.
Race 2
There was some major confusion on the grid after a technical issue caused Oscar to be out of position on the grid. The race got underway and Oscar swept into the lead and pulled off into the distance, with the threat of some kind of penalty over his head the entire race. Behind the grid was battling out as it emerged with Heinonen in 2nd place with Maxi in 3rd. as the closing stages of the race approached Maxi would find a way through past Heinonen, who began to struggle with grip as soon he would fall down to 8th. allowing Wagenvoort and Tim to battle it out over 3rd and 4th. Oscar who had shown his true pace, decided to slow down to let the 3 cars behind him through, having felt it was the sporting thing to do. promoting Maxi into the lead of the race. slotting back into 4th Oscar would finish just ahead of Nieminen at the flag. Jack would manage 7th just ahead of Dave.
