Long Beach was a very mixed result for both teams. It was Max vs Alex in Qualifying with Max smashing the lap record in the process and Alex well ahead of 3rd place. Richard strung together a decent lap time but could only manage 8th with the cars in front being very close on times.
The rolling start saw Max and Alex storm off with all the cars pretty much staying in formation for several laps. But Long Beach likes to suck cars into accidents and drivers into mistakes... Alex ended up pointing the wrong direction collecting Martijn Van T'land, Van T'land continued on with some aero damage but Alex was forced to pit early to repair his car dropping him well down the order. Max also made an un-characteristic mistake and launched his car on the roundabout kerb and into the armco, giving him some damage but he managed to carry on with no real issues. Richard did a carbon copy of Max and also took off and ended up as a passenger into the armco doing about the same amount damage as Max and contiued on. Alex would recover to 7th a couple of palces behind Richard who finished 5th and Max managed another win.
With the next track being Mosport we will hopefully see some very interesting results or will Max manage to increase his dominent season?
