Oscar Williams became the Absolute Romanian National Digital Circuit Champion after an intense and nail biting finale. The FRAS organised league garnered huge prizes and extremely close and competitive grid. However it was Vermin Racing's very own Oscar Williams who managed to best the competition.
The qualifiying got off to a surprising start, as Oscar had to pit after being blocked and gaining some damage early in the session and had to abort his run and pit for repairs. He then set about using the remaining time to push his car into third place on the starting grid.
As the race started the leader was quickly overtaken by Șuțeanu and Oscar, who set about pulling a gap out in front. Behind them there were multiple incidents taking place. luckily not really affecting the championship leaders as Simion was running a solid 4th place but his championship gap widening to Oscar but keeping the championship battle alive for race 2. Oscar set the fastest lap as he chased down Șuțeanu, applying pressure on the junior driver eventually causing him to make a mistake and provide Oscar with an opportunity to race side by side for several corners. both drivers keeping it clean and respectful but with the position advantage Oscar decided to settle for 2nd place and not risk losing the points.
In the second race, Bogdan Mutu started from pole position, due to finishing 10th in the first race with the reversed grid. Simion climbed his way to 2nd place after some seriously close battling. Oscar dropped down to 9th. As some of the frpont runners made mistakes and went off the track, Oscar was able to move slowly up the field, Battling with Sergui Nicolae the pair made contact which put Oscar off the track and dangerously outside the top 10, running 11th and with damage he would set the fastest lap, securing that extra point would be vital, gaining a couple more places as well as the drivers ahead went off track. Then more drama as Oscar is again taken out on the grass, striking a blow to his championship lead, losing precious places and being on the verge of points.
In the end, As Mutu obtains his first victory in CNDC and seeing off challenges from Simion who finishes a strong 2nd place but it's not enough to overhaul Oscar's points advantage. as Oscar crosses the line 12th which gives him enough to clinch the title.
It was an absolute roller coaster of racing and emotions in race 2 and thanks to an awesome team effort from Vermin and the contributions of CRG Romania combined with Oscar's brilliant season justifies the amazing acheivement.
