Triple Eight ARL Maxi -mal effort!

Updated: Mar 3, 2021

A quick report from the ARL series which saw Maxi Junger step into the Triple Eight seat alongside Dave Southword, whilst Alex Cochrane continued to drive his campaign in the Vermin at Monza.

Maxi's addition to the team saw him challenge the series favourite and quick Connor Pelkmans for pole but just couldn't find that extra bit to take it. Dave did a soild job lining up 4th with Alex 8th. Some wild moves from some of the midfield saw Dave and Alex both getting hit and dropping positions at the start but Maxi was able to challenge almost the entire race especially after the pit stop he hounded Pelkman until the last couple of laps, where a spin would cost Maxi a chance at the overtake, but he stiill brought it home in 2nd. Dave and Alex would recover to th and 6th place respectively

The result means that Dave can't win the ARL championship and Connor Pelkmans is crowned the champ. congratulations Connor. Dave still has a shot at the runner up position and Triple Eight could seal Runner up in the Team championship.
