With our drivers having little else to do other than sim race (stay calm, stay safe, stay inside and sim race everyone), we are pleased to announce our first forays into the world of iRacing.
Our team of drivers are beginning to get their feet wet and have already performed extremely impressively in both the Formula Renault 2.0 and Formula 3 series, with some world record laps being achieved. We are determined to compete against the very best, and iRacing is a brilliant platform that will hopefully allow us to do just that.
Oscar Williams, F3 driver for Vermin, has been invited to the Sim Power F3 championship which will begin in May, in which we are competing against the best in the world for real money. Williams has a head start on the rest of our drivers in terms of iRacing knowledge, although we are already seeing continual improvements from everyone.
Jack Smith, Max Hamelink and Arttu Nieminen have all shown that they have the talent to compete at the top level and we are very excited to see what the future will bring for our team. Of course, that does not mean we are abandoning the Assetto Corsa ship. We are excited to begin the Formula Trout hybrid season, with an extremely highly rated driver line-up of Max and Arttu. Not only that - our very own Jack Smith will be leading the broadcast team after a hugely successful spell streaming Formula Trout's Agile series. The future is looking bright for us in these dark times.
Maxi Junger and Karlis Skirmanis will be entering various events in iRacing mainly on the endurance side of things for Vermin and already look very competitive.
A glimpse of our iRacing cars.
We are supported by our sponsor Ayro International Sportswear in this adventure into professional sim racing leagues and hope to grow our brand as well as our partner's and promote Vermin Formula Experience which is currently on hiatus due to the events in the real world.
Stay inside and come join us on our journey.
Thank you all for your support and keep safe!
